Bio: I am an independent Soqotri language and Socotran folk tales field researcher from Sept. 1976 when I've visited the island for the first time. Socotra is not only rich with its plants, mountains and seas but also with its friendly people and their fairy tales and stories of oldest times. So, this is what this blog is about.

  1. Hi Vladimir, I am a blogger at Black Camel. We focus on art and travel in Yemen. We would like to see if you would be interested in an interview about your passion of Socotra. Best, Jac

      • Are you interested in writing a travel article based on your personal experience and challenges of collecting folk tales and why you are interested in Socotra and a description of the folk tales in socotra and how it different from the mainland Yemen? Thank you, Jac
